Gresh offers few scares, and sections told from the perspectives of characters other than Watson dissipate the suspense.The details are gruesome and perhaps not strictly Holmesian, and I feel that dedicated fans may object to the rough handling of the character by Gresh. Two of my favorite things to read about are Sherlock Holmes and the Cthulhu mythos. La Travesia de Enrique That manifests itself in this book both in the general portrayal of Victorian Britain (effectively a stylised veneer) and in the specific portrayal of some locations.

I like that the author picked out the best bits of both and then added her own twist on the characters.As the title suggests, it is a mashup between the universes of A. But there are no real insights into the character of Holmes here that have not been lifted from other works.Just what I would expect someone like Holmes to do.

Avebury is central to the plot as are several apparent ennobled families who live within walking distance of the stones themselves.The third fault is that the working together of Holmes and Moriarty I liked this work, but I did not enjoy it nearly as much as I anticipated. For my money the work delivers closer to the Conan-Doyle tradition than the Lovecraft.First, Cthulhu is almost never mentioned in the work, so the title itself is misleading.
